31 Day Snap

Inspired by Sprinkle of Glitter's 30 day snap I thought I would do a 31 day snap and document my life of July.

For all of you that are confused about what it is, I will be uploading a picture everyday for 31 days of my life. I want to do this challenge, as this year I haven't taken that many photos and I thought with this, it might get me into the habit of taking more photos.

Did you take part in Louise's 30 day snap? Or are you doing it this month?

Festval/Camping Essentials

With the festival and camping season approaching us, I thought I would show you my festival/camping essentials.

Piz Buin 50+ Sun Cream
As the weather can be so unstable, raining one day and 25 degrees the next, it's always best to come prepared and that means taking a sun cream, so when it does heat up you won't burn like a crisp!

Boots Cucumber Cleansing Wipes
As your body won't be seeing a shower for the next few days it probably won't be smelling as nice as when you first arrived on the camp site. But these wipes will make you feel cleaner and fresher it also might make you smell a bit nicer too depending on the scent of the wipe.

The Body Shop Satsuma Body Butter
An everyday body moisturiser that smells amazing and the scent stays on you too which will help you to smell 'clean and fresh'

Dove Beauty Fresh Roll On
No one wants to be smelling of body odour all day or having sweat patches

Mua Cover And Conceal Concealer
With all the partying and lack of sleep you're going to be experiencing you'll probably need something to control those dark under eye-circles.

Coca-Cola Lip Smacker
Everyone needs a lip balm to control those pesky chapped lips.

Kate Moss Lasting Finish Lipstick in 13
A bright lipstick can change your appearance and may even boost your confidence.

Rimmel Glam Eyes Day 2 Night Mascara
Every girl needs a mascara right? I find that mascara can make you look 10 times more awake than what you actually are.

Superdrug Dry Shampoo
For when your hair starts to look like it could fry an egg or two.

Hairbrush, Hair band and hair clips
Does this need explaining? A hairbrush to control the knots and make it look normal and hair bands and clips to hide the greasy hair

The Body Shop Satsuma Hand Cleanse Gel
As the toilets probably won't be nice and you won't have access to running water, having an anti-bacterial gel on you is always key to get rid of the germs that other people have left behind especially in the porta loos!

Tissues
Another problem with using porta loos is that you never know if the person who went to the toilet before you left any toilet roll for to you use, so carry around a small pack and then you will always be prepared

Sunglasses
These protect your eyes from the sun and can hide those dark under eye circles

Old Camera
It probably isn't a best idea to take your bridge/DSLR camera with you as you risk it being stolen or lost so bring an old/ not-so-good-that-you-don't-mind-being-stolen-or-lost-camera that you would't miss if it did disappear.

I also forgot to take pictures of paracetamol, allergy tablets, plasters, antiseptic wipes and a nail file. These are my festival/camping essentials, what are yours?

I Need Some BlogLovin'

Hey guys, when I first found out that Google Reader was going I wasn't really that fussed as I didn't know what it was and I didn't have it on my blog. Then all my favourite bloggers started to mention it on their blogs saying that they should follow them on BlogLovin' so I did, and as you probably know, its a really cool site where you can follow your favourite bloggers and see their new posts, which is so good as now all my favourite bloggers are in one place. So if there are any of you who like my blog you can now follow it wahoo!

Maybelline Color Show in 'Superpower Blue'

Hey guys, so today I'm doing a review on Maybelline's Color Show Superpower blue, I have four of these in total and counting.

The colour is a lovely mid sea toned blue. I have mixed feelings on this colour of polish. There was nothing wrong with the application or the size of the brush and you only needed 1 or 2 coats to get an opaque colour depending on how you apply it. And it lasts 3-4 days with a top coat and 1-2 without a top coat, but my god did it stain my nails for 3-4 days even with a base coat! and even after me scrubbing them with every household detergent possible! I will still use this polish but only on my ring finger as, as much as I love the colour I do think sometimes it can be a bit over powering.

Do you own any Maybelline Color Show nail polishes?

What I had for lunch today #2

Hey, hope you're all doing well.
Today is a random post but I'm going to share it with you anyway. When I come home from sixth form early and I don't have work that evening, I like to cook a proper main meal as I never have enough time when I have work after sixth form. Today I decided to make a chicken stir fry, it was spurred on because when I was shopping in town, Blue Dragon were giving out free samples of their food, they gave me two packets of noodles and a chow mein sauce.

The only thing I added to the sauce and noodles was some red pepper, yellow pepper, a stir fry salad and some chicken which all together costs me around the £5 mark.

What are you're favourite Blue Dragon dishes?

Lush Haul and Mini Review

Hey, hope you're well, today I thought I would show you a mini lush haul and review the items that I bought.

The first thing I bought was the bubblegum lipscrub. Now, I have wanted to try this for soo long but I've only just got round to buying it, it retails at £5.25. I do think it's a bit overpriced for what you get as it is only a small pot and you could easily make it at home. Although it smells AMAZING, it reminds me of my childhood and it's so sweet smelling. I absolutely love the colour too. Because the majority of it is sugar, I felt really weird rubbing it into my lips but it tasted so nice afterwards, my lips looked and felt so nice and smooth and it got rid of the dry skin, I think this would be perfect for in the winter when it gets cold and you're more susceptible to dry/chapped lips. But, it is super crumbly and you can't apply it without a mirror as the sugar gets everywhere and if you didn't have a mirror it would look like you had eaten a doughnut and not licked the excess sugar off.

The next thing I bought was the mask of magnaminty which is a green face mask, the big tub(315g) retails for £8.75. It smells AMAZING again, it smells just like mint ice-cream which I absolutely love. It contains peppermint oil which 'stimulates the blood vessels just below the skin to get things moving' which helps to wake up sluggish/dull skin. The mask applies really smoothly as it's quite thick in consistency and it also contains ground aduki beans which is a natural exfoliator. After using this my skin feels so smooth and clean. I use this mask once a week to give my skin a booster. The lady on the counter suggested that I refrigerate it as it would have a better cooling effect and I agree it was so nice to have a cooling face mask.

I think these will be my future go-to face mask and lip treatment as I'm thoroughly enjoying them at the moment. Are you liking these products? Do you have a favourite Lush face mask or lip scrub?

What I had for lunch today #1

Hey, hope you're all doing well. So I know this is probably a weird post but I'd thought I'd share it with you anyway. I had the most basic thing ever for lunch, a chicken pasta salad but oh my god it tasted so good and I'm not just saying that because I made it but there were so many different flavours in it, it was delicious. I think this is a good meal for the summer too, as it is light and quick and easy to do.

It had pasta which was boiled in a load of salt and pepper, chicken marinated in vegetable stock, yellow peppers, tomatoes, iceberg lettuce and cucumber, which was then drizzled with Hellman's vinaigrette light salad dressing.

What are your favourite meals for the summer?
